You’ll be able to play the entirety of Minecraft in PSVR following the update. There’ll be two main VR modes, Immersive and Living Room (i.e. a virtual screen), along with more settings to help you adjust how the game plays to your liking.

There’s no release date for the patch just yet as Mojang and SkyBox are applying the finishing touches to the update. But if you have a PSVR headset, you’ll soon get to experience Minecraft in a whole new way.

Ever wanted to walk a mile in Agent 47’s shiny shoes? That’ll be possible when Hitman 3 hits PlayStation VR in January, alongside its launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. Sony showed off the first look at first-person, VR Hitman during today’s State of Play stream, which focused on PS4 titles, PSVR and PS5 indies.

Hitman 3 marks the end of a planned trilogy, and bits of the previous Hitman games will also be playable in VR on Sony consoles. Every location from all three games will be accessible on PSVR, via Hitman 3. There’s a feature in Hitman 3 that allows players to import locations from the previous two Hitman games, as long as they own those titles, too, and they’ll all be playable in VR.

Sony delayed Iron Man VR a second time in early April due to the impact of COVID-19, and it has now found a new release date for the virtual reality shooter. All going well, it’ll be available for PS VR on July 3rd.

In January, developer Camouflaj pushed back the game from February 28th to May 15th because it needed more time to “deliver on our vision” and meet high expectations. But Sony took Iron Man VR (and The Last of Us Part II) off the release calendar completely last month because the pandemic wouldn’t allow the company to provide “the launch experience our players deserve.” However, both games are now back on the schedule and should arrive within the next six weeks. Fingers crossed they won’t be moved yet again.

Camouflaj needs more time to “deliver on our vision and meet the high expectations of our amazing community.” Iron Man VR was announced in early 2019 and Camouflaj planned to release it later that year, but that obviously didn’t work out. Given the solid buzz about the game, it might just be worth the extra wait.

The news follows this week’s postponements of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Marvel’s Avengers and Cyberpunk 2077. At the very least, with all these delays, you’ll have more time to get through whatever games you picked up in holiday sales.

As for specific titles Sony will focus on, the details are a little hazy. During the previous State of Play, it announced a release date for The Last of Us: Part II (which it later delayed to May), so it’s not unreasonable to imagine Sony has some major announcements in store.

Last week, it emerged the early access period for Dreams is winding down, suggesting a proper release date for the game creation platform is on the way. There’s a chance there’ll be confirmation of the rumored Resident Evil 3 remake, after purported cover art emerged recently and Geoff Keighley said there won’t be any word on that front at this week’s Game Awards.

And then there’s the looming shadow of what may well be Sony’s last major first-party title for PS4, Ghost of Tsushima. There’s been barely any news about that project since E3 2018, but Sony updated the YouTube playlist for the game last week, perhaps with an unlisted video.

Until now, Sony has typically held its State of Play events late in the afternoon, but you’ll have to be ready a bit earlier to catch the latest edition as it happens. The livestream gets underway at 9AM ET this morning. You can watch it below.

In Iron Man VR, Stark has retired from making weapons to spend more time creating tech to aid his alter ego’s battle against evil. But Ghost holds a grudge against him after witnessing all the damage his weapons caused.

Ghost, a long-time antagonist of Iron Man in Marvel’s comics, appeared in the movie Ant-Man and The Wasp. Here, she’s a “hacker and anti-corporate activist who repurposes old Stark Industries weapons.” She attacks Stark locations around the planet, which will inevitably lead to a showdown with Iron Man.

Meanwhile, the developer revealed what the $50 Iron Man VR digital deluxe edition includes. Along with the game (which will itself cost $40), you’ll receive 12 research points to unlock weapons and upgrades earlier than you would through gameplay alone, a digital copy of the soundtrack, four Iron Man armor skins and a PS4 theme. Pre-order bonuses include another four Iron Man looks, a second theme and a one month trial of Marvel Unlimited.

The first episode will include game reveals, trailers and gameplay footage for PS4 and PS VR, while there will be more State of Play streams throughout the year. Sony is fairly obviously taking a page out of a rival’s playbook here. Nintendo doesn’t hold press conferences at E3 either, instead opting to make announcements throughout the year via Nintendo Direct streams.
