The news isn’t too surprising — Netflix cannot support all hardware indefinitely — but it is still a bummer. Samsung confirmed the change in a troubleshooting page, and Cord Cutters first reported that older Vizio and Roku devices will lose support.

In a statement provided to Engadget, a Netflix spokesperson said:

“On December 2nd, Netflix will no longer be supported on a small number of older devices due to technical limitations. We’ve notified all impacted members with more information about alternative devices we support so they can keep enjoying Netflix uninterrupted.”

If you have one of the affected TVs, you won’t have to replace it, but you will need streaming device. Roku users may have to upgrade. Fortunately, most streaming devices are pretty affordable, and most work with other services, like Disney+ and Apple TV+.

The service comes with access to popular apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and HBO, plus music streaming from Amazon Music, Pandora and iHeartRadio. Comcast recently added NBC Sports Gold packages, and since the service is relatively new, we’ll likely continue to see additions like this.

Xfinity Flex is a lot like Roku, Apple TV or Fire TV, but there’s no up-front cost for the streaming device, which also comes with a voice remote. That might appeal to new cord cutters who aren’t as experienced with managing their own internet TV experiences and are more comfortable with longstanding services like Comcast. For Comcast, providing Xfinity Flex to all of its internet-only customers boosts its subscription numbers, and it’s likely hoping that internet-only customers will like Xfinity Flex so much that they’ll upgrade to Xfinity TV on X1, which, conveniently, they can do from the Xfinity Flex guide.

“We are pleased that our Board has approved the separation of TiVo’s Product and IP Licensing businesses and believe both businesses will be better positioned independently. We believe the separation will unlock shareholder value and increase our flexibility in pursuing new and growing market opportunities,” said interim TiVo CEO Raghu Rau in a press release.

As video-on-demand and streaming providers have made it all too easy to watch a show or movie on your own time, TiVo has struggled to find a future. The company was acquired by patent giant Rovi in 2016 for $1.1 billion — primarily for the many patents it holds related to online television viewing. Back in January, TiVo announced it was working on an app to allow its users to watch Roku, Apple TV and Fire TV. The company has dealt with a string of departing CEOs; its most recent permanent head, Enrique Rodriquez, resigned after less than a year.

While some speculated that splitting TiVo’s IP and products business in two will make it easier to find a buyer, early signs aren’t encouraging. TiVo’s shares fell by 14 percent on Friday following the announcement.
