Amazon has discounted the 256GB model iPad Air to $549. When you visit the retailer’s iPad Air product page, you’ll see the price listed at $620. Combined with Amazon’s lower starting price, you’ll get the discount through a $70 coupon that’s automatically applied at checkout for a total savings of $100. Another thing to keep is you can still take advantage of the promo even though the 256GB model is out of stock at the moment. However, that does mean you won’t be able to get the tablet delivered before Father’s Day. One last thing to note is only the space gray model is part of the promotion.

Apple’s keyboard cover for the next iPad Pro could add a trackpad

With the launch of iPadOS, Apple’s tablet has become more of a conventional computing device than ever. As such, it makes sense that the line between iPad Pro and laptop could become even more blurred. A rumor from The Information claims Apple is gearing up to mass produce a new keyboard accessory for the tablet line that includes a built-in trackpad, with plans to release it at the same time as an updated version of the iPad Pro later this year.

If you just can’t wait, accessory maker Brydge is one of the the third parties promising a solution. It has opened pre-orders for its wireless Pro+ keyboard that includes a a trackpad plus backlit keys and adds a very MacBook-like look to the tablet. They’re supposed to start shipping in late April, with an 11-inch version available for $200 or the 12.9-inch edition for $230. The third-party company also announced a standalone trackpad, but there’s no release date or price listed for that yet.

Best Buy’s weekend sale takes up to $200 off the pricey iPad Pro (updated)

MacBooks

The current model of the MacBook Air, which was released last month, is $100 off, so you can snag one for $1,000, instead of $1,100. The newest MacBook Pro is also $100 off — $1,200 instead of $1,300. The prior models, released in late 2018, have even steeper discounts.

iPads

There are some solid deals on the excellent, but ordinarily very expensive, iPad Pro. For a short time, Best Buy was offering a whopping $600 off the most expensive 12.9-inch iPad Pro with 1TB of storage and cellular capabilities, but that deal was either incorrect or has already expired. You can still save up to $200 off all iPad Pro models, though. For example, the 11-inch 256 GB model, which usually sells for $1,100, is on sale for $949.

The basic iPad with 128 GB of storage is $300, down from $429. The Smart Keyboard for the 10.5-inch iPad Air and iPad Pro is $90, down from $160. If you bundle a current-generation iPad Air with the Smart Keyboard, you’ll save $160.

Microsoft Surface

Microsoft’s Surface Go with a keyboard, which usually sells for $679, is on sale for $549. The current-generation Surface Pro 6 with keyboard is $799, a substantial drop from its normal price of $1,059.

Sony

Sony’s crisp and comfortable WH-1000XM3 noise-canceling headphones are on sale for $300, down from $350.

Samsung

And if you’re ready to preorder a Samsung Galaxy Note 10 or 10+, you can save up to $700.

Other Deals

There are plenty of deals on Apple Watches, TVs, smart home gadgets and home theater setups. If you were planning on buying new tech any time soon, it’s worth taking a look at this weekend’s sales.
