Fortnite‘s tie-in with Star Wars is about to extend beyond a stormtrooper skin. Gamers have discovered that Disney is premiering a scene from The Rise of Skywalker at the game’s Risky Reels drive-in theater on December 14th at 2PM Eastern, with ‘doors’ (such as they are) opening at 1:30PM Eastern. This isn’t just playing a clip, either — director J.J. Abrams will also be present in some capacity. If you don’t mind spoiling some of the movie, it might be a good respite from the usual battle royale brawl.

Do be ready to hunt the phone down and pay a hefty sum. The Star Wars variant will reach 15 markets (including the US, UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Spain) starting December 10th. In the US, it’ll be available on December 13th in unlocked form for $1,300 at Amazon, Samsung and some Best Buy and Microsoft stores. Samsung isn’t asking you to pay a large premium over what it would cost to get plainer versions, then. The challenge may boil down to getting one before supply runs out — you just know people will try to flip the Star Wars Note 10+ on auction sites if it becomes hard to find.

The end is almost here — The Rise of Skywalker will close out the third Star Wars trilogy when it premieres on December 20th (with early screening starting the night before). If you’d like to see a bit more of Episode IX instead of going in completely unspoiled, then watch the new trailer below that just aired during Monday Night Football, but if you’ve already decided in favor of seeing the movie, then tickets are on sale now.

The remaining members of the gang are back, and of course we have more voiceover from you-know-who, and it looks like things are coming down to Rey and Kylo Ren one way or another. Not everyone was a fan of the way the story unfolded in The Last Jedi, but we’ll see how JJ Abrams wraps things up in… two months. Is it really that far away?

Director JJ Abrams said Episode 9 doesn’t continue immediately after the events of The Last Jedi. He described it as “an adventure that the group goes on together.” He also addressed the late Carrie Fisher’s appearance in the film using footage cut from The Force Awakens. “The idea of having [Princess Leia as] a CG character was off the table,” he said, while noting it was impossible to recast the part.

Billy Dee Williams made an appearance at the panel, confirming reports Lando Calrissian would appear in the film. Meanwhile, newcomer Naomi Ackie confirmed her character is named Janna, and the panel also offered a look at a new droid named Dio.

Star Wars: Episode 9 will hit theaters on December 20th. It will eventually be available to stream alongside the rest of the saga through Disney+, the Mouse House’s upcoming streaming platform.
