Apple committed to a second season of For All Mankind before the first even premiered, and it’s finally clear how the tech giant will follow up its alternative history of spaceflight. The company has premiered a teaser trailer (via Space.com) that has Ron Moore’s Apple TV+ series leaping into the 1980s, when the Space Shuttle was NASA’s shining star. Tensions with the Soviet Union haven’t improved, though — the clip suggest that militarization of space could prove a central problem.

There’s still no debut date for the new run, although a teaser suggests you won’t be waiting too long to hear more.

Based on the screenshots, it appears Esposito’s character, Anton Castillo, is the dictator of Yara, “a tropical paradise frozen in time.” Castillo’s “ruthless oppression” ignites a revolution, and players will assume the role of Dani Rojas, a guerilla fighter battling Castillo’s military.

It’s not clear if Ubisoft originally planned to announce Far Cry 6 at its Ubisoft Forward showcase this Sunday, but thanks to this leak, we can expect more details from the digital event. The leaked screenshots list the release data as February 18th, 2021.

As a consolation for the delay, 2K Games has released a 15-second teaser, and the company plans to release an extended look at Mafia: Definitive Edition’s gameplay on July 22nd. Fans will be able to find that on the @mafiagame Twitter account.

Mafia I is being completely overhauled and rebuilt from the ground up by Hangar 13. 2K Games calls it a “faithful but expanded” 4K- and HDR-ready remake that improves both visuals and gameplay, builds on the narrative and adds new features like motorcycles and collectibles.

The “Definitive Editions” of Mafia II and Mafia III arrived in May, but those games didn’t receive nearly the same treatment as the original. The third installment came out in 2016, so it’s just a re-release with all DLC included, while the second game got some minor graphics updates. While the updated second and third games obviously arrived before the first, that shouldn’t be too much of an issue, as the three titles each have their own unique narratives. 

“From the beginning, this has been a passion project for us. Many of our developers helped create the original Mafia, and all of us are committed to crafting an updated experience worthy of that timeless classic. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make Mafia: Definitive Edition the very best it can be for all of our fans worldwide,” 2K Games and Hangar 13 wrote.

Four years ago, a few GIFs and video clips featuring a mysterious game surfaced online. They depicted a cat wandering around a futuristic take on Kowloon Walled City in Hong Kong, but details were nonexistent. Dubbed HK Project, the title resurfaced yesterday during Sony’s PlayStation 5 reveal event. Now called Stray, the game will be out next year for both PS4 and PS5, followed by a PC release.

The teaser shows a cat wandering around a robot-occupied and neon-infused city, crossing roads, climbing pipes and entering buildings. While there are no firm details about gameplay, it seems clear that the game will mainly focus on exploration. According to a blog post from one of Stray’s developers, it will also include puzzle solving and action scenes. The cat is wearing a glowing backpack, but it’s not clear what purpose it serves. Does it hold the feline’s catnip? Is it a jetpack? We’ll have to wait for more information to find out.

It’s about that time of the year when Bungie reveals the next major Destiny 2 update, and it’s clear that there are big updates in store. The studio has posted a private Instagram video that teases a reveal for the “next chapter” of Destiny 2 on June 9th at 12PM Eastern. There’s only a brief clip accompanying the news, but it already speaks volumes about what you can expect in year four of the shared-world shooter. Caution: there are some spoilers ahead if you haven’t played much of D2 and its Shadowkeep expansion.

The teaser shows Eris Morn, an ally and frequent doomsayer, searching in harsh weather on what looks to be Jupiter’s moon Europa. Morn is obsessed with the encroaching forces of the Darkness (looming ever since the first Destiny), and your adventures in Shadowkeep eventually took you and Eris inside a pyramid on the Moon that resembles the ominous Darkness ships teased at the end of D2’s original storyline. The Darkness is coming, and Eris may play a key role in dealing with it.

A series of previews already culminated with a clear look at LG’s next flagship phone, but now we have a date for the official Velvet unveiling. LG Korea posted an invitation and teaser video for the launch event — a “fashion show that boasts innovative designs” — on the morning of May 7th at 10 AM KST (if it’s a global launch, then that would be 9 PM ET on May 6th).

Like the previous teasers, everything about the invite highlights the smartphone’s design and Raindrop rear camera setup, as well as four colors: Aurora White, Aurora Gray, Aurora Green, and Illusion Sunset. One way or another, new phone season isn’t slowing down just yet.

LG is still dribbling out details of its posh-looking Velvet phone, but this time it’s offering a much better look than crude sketches. The tech giant has posted a new teaser video that shows the design in earnest, including the curved edges, that “raindrop” rear camera layout and vivid color options that include the chameleonic “Illusion Sunset.” The clip also confirms rumors that this is an upper mid-range phone rather than a flagship — the Velvet will have 5G, but it’s running a Snapdragon 765 instead of the 865 from this year’s high-end Android devices.

The company told Engadget that it doesn’t have more to share about the phone beyond what you see in the video. There’s no word on when it arrives, let alone whether it reaches the US. We wouldn’t count on LG rushing to launch the Velvet given the pandemic, but the steady stream of teasers suggests you’ll hear more about the phone soon enough.

Last fall, Netflix confirmed Stranger Things 4 was in the works and that it signed the show’s creators, Matt and Ross Duffer, to a multi-year film and series overall deal. The last season was streamed by over 40 million accounts, and Netflix, understandably, wants to keep that success going. Unfortunately, Netflix has not shared a release date. Though, some expect the new season to arrive in late 2020 or 2021.

Mercedes has posted a teaser for the production EQA, and it doesn’t appear share much of anything in common with the 2018 concept EV. The near-finished vehicle is now positioned as an “electric brother” of the 2021 GLA crossover, complete with a virtually identical side profile. Mercedes hasn’t said much more, but it is promising “off-road features” for more adventurous drivers. You can expect an official debut sometime in 2020.

There’s still no release date for the new season beyond “2020.” Having said that, The Boys‘ new season could easily snag one of Amazon’s premier launch windows. While it’s not certain just how many people have seen the first season so far, there’s little doubt that it was hyped-up — and there are many questions left unanswered. Throw in a plot that doesn’t shy away from difficult subjects (we don’t just mean violence) and it will likely be one of Prime Video’s most important shows for next year.
