You’ll also find Star Wars-based challenges and new unlockables like a Jedi training emote. Epic is also handing out the TIE Whisper glider to everyone, not just attendees, after high demand led to trouble getting into the game.

The high profile combined with interest suggests that in-game Fortnite events like this will persist for a while. It’s not surprising as to why. The game’s gigantic player base makes it an easy choice for advertisers who want to court a large audience of young people, and this could keep people coming back well after they’ve obtained the usual seasonal goodies. It’s just a question of whether or not Epic can both sustain interest in the core game and preserve some of the novelty of community-wide events.

If you’ve got a pair of Headphones 700, QuietComfort 35 Headphones II or Bose Frames, you can unlock an immersive, 360-degree audio journey into the Star Wars universe. Explore classic scenes, such as Luke Skywalker’s lightsabre training in 1977’s A New Hope, or get among Rey and Kylo Ren’s tense showdown in 2015’s The Force Awakens. Bose’s AR-enabled products detect the wearer’s body orientation and movement, so it all sounds like you’re right there among the action. You’ll also be able to access special behind-the-scenes content through the app, too.

In honor of the new movie, Bose is also releasing a limited number of customized QuietComfort 35 Headphones II. Inspired by the colors and design of the dark side, one half of these headphones is dipped in black and emblazoned with a bright red Sith insignia. The other side — red with black patterns and detail — will be immediately recognizable by followers of the Empire and First Order. Get them for $400 from Bose.com.

This isn’t just playing a clip, either — director J.J. Abrams will also be present in some capacity. If you don’t mind spoiling some of the movie, it might be a good respite from the usual battle royale brawl.

If you’re wondering what kind of space magic allows a bottle to light up, the answer is organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Yes, the same technology that likely powers the display on your phone or high-end TV — and inspired Engadget’s favorite K-pop song — is at work here to allow Rey and Kylo Ren’s lightsabers to come alive.

The tech was created by a Berlin-based startup called Inuru. Each bottle includes one of the company’s smart labels. The labels feature a built-in printed battery and the diodes needed to illuminate something. By touching the label, you complete a circuit, which in turn sends an electrical current to the diodes. According to Inuru, the printed battery can sustain a minimum of 500 activations. The company claims the diodes are “eco-friendly” because they’re manufactured without the use of rare earth metals. A Star Wars tie-in is obviously one of the more clever applications of the smart labels, but the company sees the tech finding its way into packaging, advertisements, home appliances and more in the future.

Unfortunately, if you want to get your hands on these limited-edition bottles, you’ll need to book a trip to Singapore. At the moment, Coca-Cola plans to only release 8,000 bottles as part of a “Galactic Hunt” promotion the company is running between December 6th to 22nd in the city-state. For the three weekends between those dates, Star Wars fans in Singapore will need to solve clues to get their hands on the bottles. Like with most technologies, we’ll likely see these types of labels proliferate as the tech gets cheaper.

Do be ready to hunt the phone down and pay a hefty sum. The Star Wars variant will reach 15 markets (including the US, UK, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Spain) starting December 10th. In the US, it’ll be available on December 13th in unlocked form for $1,300 at Amazon, Samsung and some Best Buy and Microsoft stores. Samsung isn’t asking you to pay a large premium over what it would cost to get plainer versions, then. The challenge may boil down to getting one before supply runs out — you just know people will try to flip the Star Wars Note 10+ on auction sites if it becomes hard to find.

The end is almost here — The Rise of Skywalker will close out the third Star Wars trilogy when it premieres on December 20th (with early screening starting the night before). If you’d like to see a bit more of Episode IX instead of going in completely unspoiled, then watch the new trailer below that just aired during Monday Night Football, but if you’ve already decided in favor of seeing the movie, then tickets are on sale now.

The remaining members of the gang are back, and of course we have more voiceover from you-know-who, and it looks like things are coming down to Rey and Kylo Ren one way or another. Not everyone was a fan of the way the story unfolded in The Last Jedi, but we’ll see how JJ Abrams wraps things up in… two months. Is it really that far away?
