Google wants more people to check out Stadia Pro, the subscription-based version of its video game streaming service. To that end, the company is adding six titles to its freebie lineup on October 1st, including Dead by Daylight. The asymmetric horror game, which is already available on other platforms, pits four survivors against another human-controlled menace. The Stadia version will support cross-play and Crowd Choice, a streamer-focused feature that allows viewers to vote on what happens next. “Select whether they play as the Killer or a Survivor in Dead by Daylight, then pick which Killer or Survivor they’ll become,” Google teased in a blog post.

Other Stadia Pro additions include Celeste, a critically-acclaimed indie platformer, Human: Fall Flat, a party game with intentionally-bad controls and physics, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, an isometric take on the franchise, Mind Control Delete, a time-bending expansion to Superhot, and Jotun, an action-adventure game about a deceased viking warrior. They’re not the biggest games — not in September 2020, anyway — but generally high quality and worth playing if you haven’t got around to them already.

Need an incentive to stay at home during the pandemic? How about a months-long game backlog that includes some classics? Square Enix is happy to oblige. The publisher has released a Square Enix Eidos Anthology on Steam that bundles 54 Eidos games for $39, with all of the profits going to North American and European charities like food banks. It does’t include absolutely everything under the Eidos badge, but some legendary game franchises are well-represented.

It won’t surprise you to hear that most of the Tomb Raider series is here, ranging from the very first title through to Rise of the Tomb Raider (sorry, you’ll have to buy Shadow of the Tomb Raider separately). Deus Ex is included up to the Director’s Cut for Human Revolution, and fans of wanton destruction will be happy that the first three Just Cause games are here. At the same time, you can revisit the classic stealth action of the Thief series (we’d focus on the originals rather than the reboot) or the vampiric exploits of the Legacy of Kain saga.

They’re the first additions to the list of free games for Pro members (which all Stadia players are for now) since the service debuted last week. Google plans to add more free games for Pro members each month.

Both Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition and Farming Simulator 19 were among the selection of titles Stadia made available to purchase on its launch day. The service typically offers a 14-day refund window for games, but only for those you played for less than two hours. Given the short window between Stadia’s initial rollout and those two titles heading to Stadia Pro, Google will relax its return policy for them.

“We know that some users have recently purchased these two games for their collection,” a spokesperson told Engadget. “Because of the proximity between the launch of the platform, and the announcement of these titles in Stadia Pro, we are happy to assist players if they would like to request a refund if they purchased either or both of these titles, even if it’s outside of our normal policy.”

You’ll also spot discounts on games including Devil May Cry 4 ($7.50), Steep ($9.89), Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 ($6 each), Don’t Starve ($4.50), Inside ($7) and Limbo (an absolute steal at $2). Lara Croft fans will be able to pick up a few of the explorer’s adventures on the cheap too, including Tomb Raider ($6), Rise of the Tomb Raider ($9.59) and Lara Croft and the Temple of Orisis ($4). You can also save on DLC for Far Cry 4, Just Cause 3, Steep, XCOM 2, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands and The Division.

On PS3, the offers include Bioshock ($4), Bioshock Infinite ($6), Borderlands ($3), Borderlands 2 ($4, but free on PS4 right now via PS Plus), Grand Theft Auto IV ($9), GTA V ($10) and Red Dead Redemption ($9.59). On Vita, you can also expect deals on the likes of Super Meat Boy ($4.49), Grim Fandango Remastered ($2.24), Don’t Starve ($4.49) and Lara Croft Go ($2).

Meanwhile, Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition, God of War III Remastered, Nioh and Friday the 13th: The Game are all joining the PlayStation Hits roster June 28th. As with other games in the lineup, they’ll get permanent price cuts to $20.
